Symptoms of anxiety can range from mild to severe and interfere with daily life. One difficult thing about anxiety is that its so pervasive that over time one feels anxious about having anxiety and it can become a viscious cycle! The good news is that anxiety is very treatable and people usually experience significant relief by the second week of group. This 8-week group combines psycho-education, clinical interventions, skill building, cognitive and behavior changes, and peer support to reduce troublesome symptoms. Participants will tap into their inner spirits and personal wisdom as they strive to overcome the grip anxiety has on their lives and gain the freedom to live life more calmly and fully.

Symptoms of Anxiety

  • Shortness of breath
  • Sense of foreboding
  • Discomfort with swallowing or “lump in throat”
  • Fear of losing control
  • Trembling, twitching, or feeling shaky
  • Muscle tension, aches, or soreness
  • Easily fatigued
  • Sweating or cold, clammy hands
  • Trouble falling or staying asleep
